Microsoft Visio: Accessible Diagrams

The objective of this course is to immerse students into accessibility issues and how to create easy to read and accessible Excel spreadsheets.

During this one-day course students will interact with a variety of Word documents and review components that would render the document inaccessible.

This one day session takes accessible document preparation to the next level. During this course students will move from creating simple Office documents, to PDF documents that are fully accessible and meet the current mandates. Attendees will learn a variety of techniques to make documents accessible and also learn about the pitfalls to avoid along the way.

This one-day course will take students into detailed feature of PowerPoint to insure accessible presentations. Attendees will work with some advanced tools and include narration and subtitling for both visually impaired and hearing-impaired audiences.

The goal of this course is NOT HOW to create a website, but rather what elements, processes and checks should be performed in order to render a website that will meet the AODO standards for websites.
