Microsoft Office PowerPoint: Accessible Presentations

This one-day course will take students into detailed feature of PowerPoint to insure accessible presentations. Attendees will work with some advanced tools and include narration and subtitling for both visually impaired and hearing-impaired audiences.

Description

Attendees will discuss the current provincial and federal requirements to produce fully accessible digital documents and in the case of PowerPoint, presentations.

PowerPoint Challenges

    • Discussions will surround the challenges of PowerPoint as a means to render content to users
    • Students will discuss and see how colours and contrast, number of bulleted items and animations can hinder a presentation from being accessible
