Course Description

The learning objectives of a Python for Security Professionals course are focused on developing essential skills for cyber security tasks. Students will learn fundamental Python programming that can be used for penetration testing and cyber security analysis. They will be equipped to write scripts for network and web scanners, automate tasks, analyze malware and exploit vulnerabilities in web applications. They’ll also gain a proficient understanding of Python libraries and modules used in cyber security, like Scapy, and Nmap. Additionally, they’ll understand concepts like sockets programming and purchase python-based tools for tasks such as password cracking and data analysis.

Prerequisites

Students are required to have some basic programming experience and exposure prior to attending this course. Students should have basic development experience in any programming language, along with a working, user-level knowledge of Unix/Linux, Mac, or Windows.
